Where?

Located in the busy city of Mumbai, this contrasting street of Santacruz sits in a dominantly catholic locality. My childhood home was replaced by a 6m deep pit which first held a small space for solitude, intimacy and congregation, then turned into my childhood home for six members and further grew into a Music institution for the neighboring catholic community. The studio journey started with me referring to these spaces I was to design as "somewhere". This held me back from inhabiting these spaces. Unless I questioned myself, "Where?". Where was it that I wanted to be?
