Saanjh Pediatric Hospital

The studio was a user-centric studio about designing a pediatric hospital with empathy as a focus. The first step towards designing was to understand the problems and pain points that the users face through their experience in the hospital. This was done through various empathy and patient journey maps, interviews, and understanding child ergonomics. The approach was done through the concept of embrace and familiarity. To create spaces where the child feels warm and safe. This was done by using warm textures, colors, materials, and patterns. Introducing elements that they are already familiar with. Different references through children’s drawings, pop culture and media, cultural context, and graphics have been incorporated in the space. Each floor has been resolved by keeping in mind the adjacencies, workflows, and medical functionalities.
