The project focuses on climate responsive strategies to optimize the usage of functional spaces of residence , homestay and workshop in this cold and dry climate.  Step massing and different strategies are adopted in order to take in the warmth from the southern sun during winter months.  Different materials are being explored to maintain the insulation yet bring in the direct sunlight. Materials like stone , rammed earth and wood are mainly used that are naturally available. On having a very scenic location , the visual connections from interior space to environment around are maintained specially for the homestay.
