Connect 'n' Sea

The site is located on a beach in Kochi where the main climatic concerns are 'humidity' and 'harsh sun' at high altitude. The building is designed on the concept of POROSITY so that there is ventilation through all spaces. Since it is located facing the sea, it is emphasized that each space gets nice views. Hence the building is designed as separate blocks arranged alternatively and placed on three levels. These blocks are formed with pixels and connected with shaded walkways. The roofs are asymmetrically sloping to allow play of volume and the water channels act as 'chajjas'.
