Scattered Within A Garden

Loving community is a neighborhood in Vastral which was inhabited by people affected with Leprosy. Over the years, boundary wall has limited conversation between them and the surrounding locality. The intent of the design was to remove the boundary wall at the site and create an open garden amidst the two communities. The library is designed as separate blocks that create free movement, giving people an opportunity to walk and occupy their own spaces . Raised on stilts, the design emphasizes on liberating the visual and physical barrier at one of the most gathered spaces of the community.
