Based along the highway, next to the Prajapati Potter Community in Adalaj, Mharo Thikano is a proposed academic Restaurant cum Concept Store project. The aim is to provide the Tourists with a place to sit, eat and interact for a window of at least 3 hours thus making Adalaj a half-a-day stop; and to promote the Prajapati community and pave future options for other Women and youth with their current skill set along with exploring Terracotta and Pottery in terms of their commercial values. The activities in the project are centered around two major objectives- Food and exploration of terracotta products. The restaurant is visualized to be set with a backdrop of terracotta and the menu is limited to the authentic Rajasthani dishes that are prepared and served in earthenware. The secondary aim of the program provides the community with a space to play, indulge and interact with the Community. The program intends to take the tourists on a journey where they can eat-indulge-experience-and then, shop.
