The intervention on site follows a series of patterns that have been repeated in the formation of the site as it is at the moment. In prehistory, it was the location of a cretaceous eruption of lava that covered a sandstone bed.The quarrying of the rock has resulted in various cliff, valley and pool shaped formations that have harboured other forms of life since those activities have come to an end. Human contribution to the site has been recognized as a disturbance, which has been followed by other lifeforms conducting subsequent terraforming activities on the site giving it the quality of being “sentient.”.
