'No Kidding' - Urban Backstage Laboratory

The building must be woken up. And so does the city. 'No kidding', an urban backstage laboratory combines the narrative of the existing built being an extra-terrestrial spaceship + the Amdavadi's inherent kitschy-ness and expresses this through a blazing red intervention which appears to pierce through the building creating diverse spatial journies and characters of spaces. Double-heighted non-orthogonal inclined walls create an experience of constant agitation and are expressed using industrial materials and contrasting textures. Through this program and interventions , the youth of Ahmedabad wishes to assert their presence by doing what they do best, tickling and poking.
