The aim of this project was to design an office furniture system to cater to the co-working companies who provide arrangement in which workers of different companies share an office space, allowing cost savings and convenience through the use of common infrastructures. In this pandemic, there is a need for a new set of furniture system to emerge which will have digitally configured spaces, that will allow the end user to digitally select, the kind of layout required as per his/her needs, budget and availability, that will be tailor-made on site, with the customization available in the system. As per the uncertainty of the situations, organizations are reducing footprint due to high rents, which has led to stacking of furniture. This system will allow customization at the level of the stakeholder of the co-working space. As the Hybrid model is foreseen in offices, a range of flexible settings with different privacy levels will turns the space into a vibrant hub where different modes of work can happen simultaneously – collaboration, informal social interactions, learning and even focus work. The ceiling grid system (parametric) and digital fabrication processes involved in making it, not only helps to make it modular, but also easily customizable according to the user's space needs.
