Mix Development High Rise

The studio focuses on the use of BIM and Lean Construction approaches to establish an Integrated Project Delivery strategy. As a part of the studio exercise, mixed development high rise was chosen. The roles of Architect, Structural Consultant, MEPF consultant, and Contractor were assigned to each group member. Various software and platform used for exercises include Plannerly, BIM 360, Visilean, Revit, Navisworks, and Synchro among others. The project team on site implemented the traditional method which gave the opportunity to compare the differences between traditional and IPD and suggest the new options to explore in future projects. Some of the exercises include Structural Modelling, Collaboration platforms, Last Planner System, Quality Check, Consultant’s process flow and Conclusion.
