Heritage Impact Assessment for Pune Metro

The project is an attempt to assess the impact on the heritage by the current proposal of Pune metro. It follows the framework of impact assessment suggested by ICOMOS and NMA. The study identifies impacts on the cultural assets that are significant to the setting by understanding the history, evolution, current scenario and prediction of the future after the development. Based on the previous literature it is identified that there is conflict in the policies and threat to the unprotected & intangible heritage. The project suggests mitigation measures for reducing the adverse impacts while enhancing and uplifting heritage.
