In 1511 AD Khalilkhan won Baroda and constructed fort wall-‘Killa-E-Doltabad’. At that time Baroda was an important place for the ‘Laskari Chavni’ between Chapaner (Pavaghad) to Ahmedabad. The city wall, extended for 4 km in length having 43 bastions and four gates. Presently, it stands as fragments only 500 m of the wall with 4 bastions and 4 gates. The study reviles different values which are associated with the historic fort wall of Baroda and proposed maintenance guidelines, and design interventions with the concept of an experiential journey of the historic fort wall of Baroda city.
