Rajkot: Sight for Sustainability and Economic Vivacity

The studio expected to develop core competencies in making a Development Plan (DP) which would go beyond the conventional approach to zoning and regulations. This project deals with the Development Plan of Rajkot for the year 2036.Initially, the character of the city was studied from site visits and the stakeholder's perspective followed by the land use and built use pattern survey. This development plan has been prepared considering the important aspects of Transportation, Zoning, Infrastructure, Housing, and Costing. The proposals have been prepared to be robust enough to cater the estimated population for the year 2036 and more.
