Bangalore being the "Silicon Valley" of India is a hub for investors and MNCs. The Kempegowda International Airport, Bangalore commenced operations in 2008 but being the 3rd Biggest and the Busiest airport in and India, a need for expansion arose. The construction of T2 started back in 2018, built on the concept of Garden Terminal being first of it's kind in India. The redesign will increase the passenger handling capacity from 3.5 million per annum(current) to 12 million passengers per annum. The contract has been awarded to Larsen & Toubro India and Bangalore International Airport Limited, Client company.
