Voronoi - Daybed cum Chaise

The thought behind the project was to comprehend various spaces of our homes and concoct opportunity areas with the assistance of activity mapping and detailed analysis. From these opportunity areas, one was chosen to define the design brief, i.e., semi-outdoor furniture that serves the purpose of reading, sleeping, sitting, etc. Further, an iconic piece of furniture was chosen, keeping the opportunity area in mind. An intensive assessment of iconic furniture was done to study the parameters of materiality, functionality, mechanics, finishes, and ergonomics to formulate the basis of design. This iconic furniture was further redesigned sufficing to requirements of the opportunity area, inculcating the above parameters.
