The portfolio consists of excerpts from both the mid-semester as well as the final submission.
The former section focuses on the making and materiality of the C1-type bungalow of Jamshedpur, and attempts to trace the building value vis-à-vis the means of architectural production, and discusses three details that contribute to the singularity of the bungalow.
The latter section consists of spreads from a curated architectural catalogue on bungalows in Jamshedpur. The framework of analysis is anchored in Swati Chattopadhyay's essay "The Other Side of Primitive Accumulation : The Garden House in British Colonial Bengal", exploring how bungalows in Jamshedpur acquired meaning.
