Urban Housing - A product of types, density and systems

Talavdi Na Chhapra in Memnagar, is an informal settlement since many decades on the south of Memnagar Lake. The settlement spreads till the adjacent commerical road to its south, which branches out of the 132 Ft Ring Road. The idea is to translate housing needs of the residents of Talavdi, in terms of income, family composition, family life cycle stages and their potential activity patterns and then turn them into improved spatial scenarios. The project aims to deliver both tangible and intangible aspects through well balanced living, working and relaxing environments creating a microcosm within the neighbourhood.
