A Habitat amidst the City | Intergenerational Housing

The project responds to the current site housing conditions which was highly segregated, inflexible and quite unsuitable, especially during pandemic situation, creating emerging crises with elderly care, affordability and less of social interaction. These all generate big costs for society. Hence, to create an Intergenerational Housing model to incorporate people of different ages like family or Individuals like Students living together. With separate access, residential is located above commercial which gives frontage for both. Also, the main design idea was to include the view of the Sabarmati riverfront for all the family units with communal interactive terraces at different levels.
