The Studio journey has been a roller coaster ride. The Ups and Downs caused by the Pandemic didn’t stop learning. ABC being introduced as a technique of
Interior Construction has been really helpful in the opening of mind and thinking out of the box. The studio focuses on understanding and exploring Assembly Based Construction, with the perspective of technology and construction methods.
Module 1.1: • Kit of parts is based on working of Assembly. • One can achieve the Structural requirement of an object or a by uniformly distributing External Force or Pressure by junctions, stability can be achieved. Module 1.2: • Different Parts come together to form a stable element or object. • Parts act differently in different XYZ dimensions.
Module 2: • Playing with parts to form an element that matches the theme of the space. • Using ABC within an interior space keeping in mind the existing structure. • Giving the essence and experience of nature within a closed space.
Module 3: •Adapting the structural building to the theme of the surroundings. •Using a small-scale module/KOP in a bigger scale space and achieving the same stability. •Understanding the footfall that will be received and set the dimensions for the KOP •Learning the heritage architectural elements and combine them with modern materials and technology. •Materials can be combined traditionally and given a modern approach to its use.
