An Ethereal Alcove

The project responds to the context by creating a place for prayer that allows people to interpret prayer in their own way. The site is located at kochrab aashram in Paldi, where Gandhiji began his styagrah. The objective of the subterranean structure was to create a spiritual experience. The vision is to create a metaphorical alcove in a busy existence that allows one to take a step back and practise prayer while experiencing the ethereal experience created by the coherence of multiple architectural elements.
