The site is in Lakhpath, Kutch which has the desert climate. The daytime temperature is warm to hot and after the site visit, I realized it really needs a shelter to rest. So I am proposing a pavilion which came after a very long process. The process started with selecting a living object which I found interesting. I took the Luna moth which is a bird-like butterfly but its specialty is its large wings can be stable by its long tail. After its study, there were 3 major steps which were 2d and 3d abstraction and 3d transformation which took me to the step where I had to put my final model into the site and decide which program suits best to my abstract model. So I proposed a pavilion that indirectly follows almost the same structural system as the living object I selected. It’s a folded plate structure. Each module is made of a 50*50mm ms box section structure that is braced with a 50mm diameter ms pipe which is supported by a 50mm diameter rod. Modules are covered by wooden plates and the triangles in-between which join 2 modules are covered with a polycarbonate sheet.
