Wastewater is not a waste until we waste it! Wastewater management is a crucial part along with solid waste and water supply, and it also put an impact on economy. Nearly 80% of wastewater is released into the environment untreated, creating burden on valuable resources and dilapidating them. The volume of wastewater discharged in Indore's peri-urban regions is increasing as the city expands, necessitating sustainable sewage management and a revenue-generating solution. Due to the lack of an sewage treatment plant, a sewer network, and proper monitoring systems, people adopt poor sanitation practices. Indore’s growing peri-urban area is wrestling with the issue of efficient wastewater disposal. Step's opex expense increases ULB’s load. Separation of grey and black water from the source, collection, treatment and reuse reduces the impact on the efficiency of the treatment plant. Also, helps in the reduction of groundwater use, and provides biogas and natural fertilizer. FSTP and dual plumbing system, a sustainable solution for peri-urban area , Indore Time to treat grey and black water separately!
