Sunny Side Up- A School in Leh

The school is located in Leh which is a cold dessert. The school also has a dormitory block. The design of the school is driven by the climatic condition of Leh. Leh being a cold dessert, ways of passively heating the school building are explored and the climatic response of the building rather than being a retrofit becomes the starting point from where the design originates. The sunspaces/ pockets created to heat up the building drives the architectural expression of the school.
