Located in the core of city and bounded by several lakes Mandvi has rich historical, religious and socio-cultural significance. Lakes were integral in forming the larger landscape and major resource for several communities. Streets and chowks are essential for the community to thrive and major junctions for movement. They were also major links for several yatras which starts from chowks, traverse from streets and end at different lakes. After redevelopment of several lakes these religious and cultural connections start to dwindle, lakes got fragmented and treated as an individual identity. With an increasing pressure of commercialization and urbanization these chowks and streets are losing their identity and character resulting an erasure of several commoning practices. The primary objective is to strengthen the links to regain and revive the lost relationships and connections.
