The “Descontraido” meaning informal, is a restaurant in a heritage Goan Portuguese mansion. Considering the ambiance and vibe of Goa the proposed program is to create casual dining & bar with live music & dancing space. This works best here as it has a friendly atmosphere as Goa has. The concept was to create balance, as the building was balanced in itself, with rigid & squarish spaces. To balance that & introduce informality, curves and circles were introduced, & levels were created with curvilinear spaces. Elements, like rope, are introduced to create a balance between the formal and informal interior space.
