Carbon Neutral Campus

The research was based on the Estimation of Carbon Footprint of a Research Institute. The CNC initiative aims to spark climate change debate and action on college and university campuses. The goal is to encourage and guide educational institute administrations to go low carbon (ideally carbon neutral) on their campuses through changes in policies and everyday routines, as well as investments in new technology, processes, and so on. Making the annual greenhouse gas emissions from the campus equal to the annual greenhouse gas sequestration from the campus. With time, the adjustments made on campus must boost greenhouse gas sequestration while decreasing greenhouse gas emissions.It focuses on calculating carbon emissions, offsets and sinks present on the campus of NCRA, Pune. Hence, providing analysis and recommendations.
