MANAGING THE LAST JOURNEY

DRP topic is Issues & Challenges faced, in provision and functioning of Death related physical assets, by Urban Local Bodies. The aim of the study is to understand the issues of the existing service design and environment of Hindu cremation ground and crematorium system and recommend areas of improvement and service development process for better service operation management and functional maintenance management. 3 crematoriums under Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation who is responsible to maintain and operate the crematorium system, are being studied for identifying concern areas of this structure through Design, Construction, Operational, Policy, Financial, Socio-cultural and Technology aspects.
