The Stage Threads: Costume Designing Studio

The stage threads is a costume designer’s studio designing garments for plays, films, musicals and dance shows. The whole design of the garment is based on a plot or theme decided by the script. The space has been created keeping in mind the creative & characteristic individuals working in the studio. The space has been designed keeping in mind the sequence of activities involved. Inspiration has been taken from fabrics and its characteristics while placing different elements together. The spaces flow into each other without boundaries creating a collaborative space to work. They have less visual hinderance and give rise to informal and interdependent spaces. The colors play in important role in the space and its bifurcation. Fabrics have been used as different interior elements in various forms testing its strength and combination with different materials.
