Urban Clusters: Mass Housing for Gulbai Tekra

The design intends to cater to the needs of the Bawari Marwadi community that currently resides in Gulbai Tekra, Ahmedabad. The common occupations of the community are sculpture making, pan parlors, animal husbandry, butcher, etc. The community's everyday activity makes their connection to the ground an essential factor while designing. The design aims in creating micro-neighborhoods and small clusters while also having semi-open spaces on all floors. The units are designed in a manner that can support spillover of activities as well as future incrementation.
