Enhancing Urban Governance: Municipal Finance

Himatnagar is a class II town in the state of Gujarat. It is the administrative headquarters of the Sabarkantha district. The city is situated on the banks of the river Hathmati. The goal of the studio was to enhance the service delivery from the Himatnagar municipality to the citizens. After a thorough of the existing financial situation, in terms of the budget preparation process, methodology, and audited accounts; case studies and best practices were referred to; in-order to propose solutions for an improved planning and recording mechanism for financial transactions.
