Enhancing Urban Governance: NULM

Himatnagar is a Class II town and district headquarter of Sabar Kantha district in Gujarat, India. The project looked at understanding this town through eight verticals. Urban poverty alleviation through the National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) was the focus of the individual work presented here. The NULM project verticals were studied at the Nagarpalika level through surveys and interviews. The existing state of the mission was understood and pressing issues which could be addressed through the mission were identified. Solutions for the identified issues were offered using the mission guidelines.
