The Sabarmati river forms the divide between two halves with a different history and economic structures. Ahmedabad beholds the uniqueness of being titled aa “UNESCO World Heritage City” as well as the upcoming Smart city of India. Despite of the heritage being located in the old city, the city is more developed towards the western edge of the Sabarmati river. Ravivari bazar is one such location on the eastern bank of the river that distinguishes change is the language of built form. This provides an opportunity to activate the stretch on weekdays.The craft resource center intends to revitalize and activate the Ravivari bazar during weekdays providing a platform for different craft communities of Ahmedabad to revive, empower and enhance the heritage of the old city providing new opportunities for the visitors.
