Ahmedabad, along with its rich history is one of the main cultural hubs of India. It’s been known for its appreciation of performing arts of all sorts. It is a physical manifestation of technology along with the performing art space aspects of the society in order to project a venue that promotes its culture . Bhadra plaza is situated in the walled city area of Ahmedabad. As Bhadra plaza is surrounded by commercial activity and residential community. It is a great opportunity for the community to live and possess the culture and express their social needs or demands in the form of art. The performing art centre with such a futuristic urban fabric in such a prime location not just creates a change within the district centre and also to activate the region culturally . It would provide edification and nurture a large swab of Indian society. Hence it would tend to become a vital part of engagement with our current and future audiences and would provide for local talent to join performance arts. A centre plays a vital role in retaining values and beliefs for the community.  The design brief is to re-design Premabhai hall considering the present issues faced by the hall and its immediate context.
