Revitalizing Life in Pols- Community center

Manek chowk- one of the oldest squares of Ahmedabad, with a bustling market, running to date. It carries with it a layer of residential essence- Pols mark the residential clusters and stand as the living heritage. But with over-commercialization, the pols are being replaced by commerce, making it less fit for community to grow. The project intends to work on the reverse gentrification phenomenon, to revitalize the lost cultural layer of these pols. It aims at providing incentives for the social, economic and cultural development of the community.
