The site is an abandoned warehouse based in the outskirts of a tier 3 town, surrounded by different farmlands and agro-based industries. The city is thus experiencing reverse migration. However, it lacks basic entertainment and leisure facilities for the returning generations which creates a lack of interest and unwillingness to return to their hometowns.
 In the 18 months since the pandemic hit India, many young urbanites have started questioning their diet habits and taking an interest in the sources of their food. People are now acquainting themselves with the extreme carbon footprint of imported products as opposed to the sustainability advantage of organic consumption.
The cafe cum wellness center will be a self-sustaining facility, supporting people across the city in the everyday economy to enhance their working and living conditions along with providing the target audience a place for recreation. A cozy café cum bakery along with an organic supermarket in Hardoi is envisioned to be a fluid play of nature and organic elements of architecture that interact and assemble a silhouette that will then also promote the concept of wellness.
Thus, the proposal explores the concept of farm to fresh and farm to fork along with aligning them with health and wellbeing.
