EINAUDI -A Place to Contemplate

Music played an integral role of the design process, the final output was a reflection of what it responded to the Site context, music and the derived spaces from the narrative. The site was located in Champaner, just behind saat kaman . A sense of escalation; a circular periphery binding me yet liberating me; a space opened yet confined ; up and up I go, are some of the interpretations of the space through music. These were brought out in the design, depicting dilemmas and turmoil, with light and shadow hovering dominance over all. Hence, at the end, justifying the drop in the music as Acceptance by creating open spaces - A sense of Liberation. The program addressing - A place to contemplate, which acted as an exhibition space for 4 artists. A theatre director, a chef , a sculptor and a painter, addressing the needs of each one with respect to what music gave us to begin with. Architecture being’ frozen music’, the final outcome was what it gave us as well what was given to us. The Kinetic element was mere derivation of what was interpreted in the storyboard during concept initialization .A cutout, creating different impact according to its condition, henceforth transforming the overall experience of the space.
