The project involved creating a reading space as part of a community centre with only Brick masonry (no reinforcement) in Mandu. Making various iterations of structural systems through which a certain spatial  quality could be evoked formed the crux of the studio. 

As part of a study on Biomechanics, the Horse's leg muscles was studied and a working model made.
Different iterations of supported and supporting spaces helped understand how the thrust exerted by a spanning system could be nullified.
A visit to Mandu provided some interesting ideas on how the material could potentially be used in different forms to span similar spaces.
