Mahesana - WALKING THROUGH CITY BY CHOICE

Mahesana is one of the rapidly growing city in Gujarat which is a high Industrial economy. This portfolio is documented fundamentally based on the preliminary survey to analyse the three potential segments Demography, Economy and Road network in Mahesana their coiled relationship with each other. Understanding the city through the lens of a Urban Planner aids in locating issues and concerns in the existing scenario. One such identified snag in the city was lack of safety to pedestrians and poorly developed NMT infrastructure.The Project document assists in understanding various measures to be adopted considering the base year of 2022 and by projecting the spatial growth of Mahesana for the year of 2042. An augmented city level NMT network is being recommended in this portfolio which aims at manifesting Mahesana to be a walkable City.
