The Green Rotunda - Women's Community Center

The Project is a community center at the Riverfront that has been designed for working women. It aims on achieving sustainability and low energy consumption through its circular form of design. The Centre is shaped and oriented such that it captures the prevailing winds with the help of the jaali walls that give protection from extreme weather and circulates them effectively through the building. The form brings out the advantage of optimum solar gain and unrestricted circulation. The central inner courtyard acts as an energy center binding different independent functions of the building together.
