Steel Frame Building in colonies during early 20th c.

This studio followed a bottom top research approach to formulate a research proposal which deals with the construction history in India of the early twentieth century. The building I dealt with was the General Office Building in Jamshedpur, built by TISCO as a part of their great expansion program. In module one, a sectional perspective drawing was created by using archival photographs and by referring to the construction details of steel frame building sin Chicago considering the American influences.  The research proposal was formulated in the second module with the help of reading seminars and discussions.
