Urban Transformation Studio

This studio focused on the design aspects of urban transformations within the existing urban areas as Indian cities are growing rapidly in terms of population and therefore expanding physically. Increasing urban population and growing urban incomes will fuel the demand for more and more built floor space in cities accompanied by a demand for infrastructure. This project is an LAP in the TOD zone of Ahmedabad. Therefore, to take advantage of the additional FSI and bring more people here the residential zone needs to begin redeveloping. My project looks at redeveloping the residential area by redefining the public realm.
