Interlocking the Unlocked

Around the rivulet, Chandrabhaga, because of the existing condition of the rivulet, the city has turned its back on the rivulet. It is abandoned and misused. But with the special development area proposal, is now open to the citizens of Ahmedabad. So, it becomes an important asset for the site. Chandrabhaga which was locked is now being developed as a public park for the city of Ahmedabad. The idea is to weave this newly opened up Blue-Green City park with the new development and the mass transit line. The project is about integrating the currently abandoned Chandrabhaga to guide the development of the surrounding. The proposal weaves the green with its adjoining plots in response to its context. Chandrabhaga, where the city has turned its back acts as the front yard and the face of the proposed development.
