Ahmedabad Central Innovation District

South Raikhad is located at the city's very core and has diverse heritage, social, recreational and transit assets. However, the land-locked parcels and fragmented assets have led to a loss of economic value and deteriorating living & working conditions for public and private stakeholders. Unifying the assets, the Ahmedabad Central Innovation District with an accessible, compact, mixed-use campus in Gaekwad Haveli attempts to trigger comprehensive development in the area. Governing bodies, corporate and research institutions would collaborate and mentor the residents, offer entrepreneurship skills, corporate funding and a shared space for locals, tourists, workers and officials on strategic solutions.
