The central BRT corridor cuts through Law garden precinct & acts as a major connection from East to West, connecting to various Institutes, the Old city, heritage sites ,major landmarks, open spaces, business centers in the city.  Despite being a city-level anchor with high foot traffic, inefficient land use and a lack of integration with public transportation have resulted in an unaffordable neighbourhood with poor livability and reliance on private transportation. The delinated site, located on the southern side of Law Garden precinct, provides city-level connectivity through the BRT, AMTS network, and upcoming metro for the area's public transportation network. Even as the surrounding area grows, all of these institutional plots remain as enclosed entities within the city core. As such enormous tracts of land are left as isolated islands disconnected from the city.
The project explores how  Institutional & Heritage District With anticipated high intensity development how can the public potential & TOD benefits of large institutional plots be achieved to its maximum extent. Reimagining institutes as integrated urban campuses could thus improve the district's place value and provide a better living environment for residents.  A strong foundation for an integrated urban system, through a new interactive institutional built-form with flexibility to support various uses as per the institution's needs.
