Pols are typical housing communities in the old city of Ahmedabad. The houses here date back to as old as 400 years. From the oldest typical Pol house to the most recent house in 2022, Pol houses have always been influenced by the designs and ideas of the period they are built in.So what is it to design a residence in this context for a modern family? The crampedness and narrowness of the archetype are to be reinterpreted. The context is to be analyzed from a modern point of view.This is the project 'The 21st century Pol House'.
