Today was like every day, tiring and boring. It feels hot even though the sky is grey. The roads are full of cars, disappearing streets, smoke, and noise. This metro saves me hours every day. It feels like only yesterday I moved in here and so much has changed so quickly. I can see my house from the window of the train. The building looks so huge from a distance, it is fascinating how all these people find ways to despise each other, yet somehow stay together. I have been living here for the last one year and meet so many people every day, The lady on the fifth floor who baking expert, the old man on the seventh floor who gives out toffees every time we meet, thinking that I am a child, and the family on the fifteenth floor that keeps inviting me for dinner. Nonetheless, I have only two friends- my neighbor and his dog, the only ones who are excited to see me. I feel bad for them because the sole thing that excites me is to reach home, shut all the windows, and sit on my bed looking at the city outside. With no sound and a still frame that lets me relax; it feels as if everything slows down until the next day.
