The world and its societies today largely function with humans at the center. We develop and manage everything primarily based on our preferences and other forms of life simply have to adjust to our standards. And out standards often end up destroying said life and their habitats. The idea of a non-anthropocentric society holds society as an ecosystem and humans as just another stakeholder. Just like humans other species get necessary privileges based on their needs as we learn to co-exist with one another and treat other forms of life as how we would treat our neighbors.
