Street vendors are an integral part of any neighbourhood. At Gurudwara Junction, there are many different types of vending activities taking place with different levels of vending infrastructure. Some sell on their motor bikes, a makeshift plinth, foldable tables, laris or food trucks. Mapping and analysing the different layers involved understanding 'how and why vendors sell the way they sell', which led to the design of a Bazaar. A space for vendors and their customers, protecting them from the risk of eviction and providing adequate space for vending activities. The design process involves reconfiguring a vending zone, introducing a small, public space and redeveloping the street edge.
