THE PROJECT LOCAL

The myriad of vendors taking shelter near the flyover, their colourful fruits and vegetables arranged in attractive pyramids, and the hustle-bustle around their carts are what give the junction its identity. The vendors are a staple and integral part of this community and a safe platform as an intervention is a necessity, where a healthy and harmonious link can be created between the locals, government, and the vendors, resulting in a positive outcome for all stakeholders. The site is also currently being encroached on by a few homeless families. The project intends to create a dynamic space that functions as a market during the daytime and as a shelter for those in need at night.
