The Pavilion Measures nearly 35 meters in length and 15 meters across the width. Its spanning system consists of a series of Tensegrity modules repeating at an interval, each measuring 6 meters in length and 3 meters in width. The main intention behind using tensegrity as a system was to provide a lightweight structural design representing the Praying Mantis (object selected for abstraction). Whereas along with fabric the system spans 15 meters. The fabric allows North-East sunlight to light up the space in the morning whereas it blocks the harsh South-West sunlight after noon.

design process began with the 2D abstraction diagrams of Praying Mantis as an object.
These diagrams were later converted to the 3d abstraction models to arrive at a form
later few selected models were transformed by using various materials and different model making techniques
The design brief was introduce later which included placing obtained forms on site to get a sense of proportions and function of the space.
after mid term, structures were introduced to design which began with case studies of various projects.
Various structural systems were used to maintain the chosen form and make it physically stable.
tensegrity was chosen as a final structural system for its light weight characteristics.
After solving the structural system locally and globally, details were designed for ease of construction and better understanding of system .
